    “BREAKOUT” 2016 SMALL TEAM EVENT”

DATE:  Wednesday, January 13^th 2016

PLACE:   Fleetwood Park Secondary School - plaza

*PLEASE PARK AT BACK OF SCHOOL AND FOLLOW SIGNS TO ENTER SCHOOL

TIME:  Dancer registration at 4 p.m. (enter @ back of school)

  Please do not arrive before as we need time to set up.

  Doors open to public @ 4:30 p.m. (enter @ back of school)

           Competition starts @ 5 p.m. & should end @ 8 p.m.

TICKETS:  $10 advance sales &/OR at door if any left that night

            

SEATING:  There will be approximately 300 seats in the plaza to be shared between spectators and dancers.  Dancers will need to be backstage 3 numbers before they perform.  They can access backstage via the hallways on each side of the plaza stage.

P.S. Only dancers (no spectators, friends, etc.) are allowed in the main studio and make sure you have clean shoes.

DIVISIONS: Street Styles & Other Styles (Lyrical, Jazz, Bhangra)

Dancers must be from same school.  Jr. dancers (8,9,10) can dance with Sr. (11,12) but a Sr. may not dance in a Jr. division.

ALL SMALL TEAM ROUTINES ARE 2 MINUTES MAX WITH 2

ENTRIES ONLY PER SCHOOL PER DIVISION AT THIS TIME.

  Beginner:  single power moves not yet combined.

  Intermediates: several power moves not yet combined

  Teams of 3 required and preferably from same school. No grads.

  One run only in preliminary battle. Then, 2 runs each in the final.

  Winners in each category are determined at this event.  

  ADVANCE BREAKERS COMPETE AT BREAKOUT ON JAN. 16^th.

ALL SCHOOL RULES APPLY AT THIS EVENT.

Costumes, choreography and music must be appropriate.

MUSIC:

Please bring music on a flash drive to be loaded when you arrive For back-up, maybe students will have it on their phone. Please edit music to avoid deductions.

AWARDS:

We will place top 3 in all divisions or top 6 in larger divisions.

DEADLINE:  Tuesday, December 1^st. No refunds after Dec. 18^th.

I WILL OPERATE ON A FIRST COME BASIS – MAX. 40 ENTRIES.
